Test Platform
DVD Cloner 6 is brand new for 2009. We downloaded, installed, and tested
DVD Cloner 6 to run on two
test computers. One computer was "Home-Brewed" with an Athlon AMD 64
X2 4800 Dual-Core processor running at 2.4GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB
hard drive, and a Sony DRU-510A DVD/RW drive 32X (CD) and 12X (DVD).
The other computer, a Gateway E06500D, with an Intel Pentium(R)
running at 3GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Plextor
PX-708A DVD/RW drive (40X (CD) and 12X (DVD).
Installation & Test Results
The installation was flawless on both
test computers. The original DVD movie was "The Count of Monte
Cristo"
starring Jim Caviezel and Guy Pearce. The
movie runtime was 131 minutes. Upon inserting the original DVD
movie and pressing the "Start" button, 20 minutes lapsed until
we were prompted to insert blank DVD media. The DVD movie burning
process was less than 14 minutes. We then inserted the copied DVD
movie in our DVD player and the copy quality was that of the original
to include all of the extras and menus options we selected. The same
process was perform on our second test computer and it took 21 minutes
to copy the movie and approximately 16 minutes to
burn the movie to DVD.

DVD Cloner VI GUI Interface - Express
Mode
At first glance
DVD Cloner 6's interface was
simple and clean.
DVD Cloner 6 has two modes to
switch between:
Express Mode (default) and Expert Mode. Clicking on the at the top allowed switching
between the two modes.

DVD Cloner VI GUI Interface - Expert
Mode
The Expert Mode allowed us to
either (1) Copy a DVD movie to DVD, (2) Combine two DVD movies to DVD,
and (3) Burn a movie that has already been ripped to a DVD.
Once an option is selected,
DVD Cloner 6 made the process idiot-proof as indicated by the
screenshots below:

Step 1 - Insert DVD

Step 2 - Select DVD Burner or Hard
Drive To Write On

Step 3 - Select a Copy Mode

Step 4 - Select Options

Step 5 - Verify Your Settings

Step 6 - Start Reading DVD and Burning
DVD Process
The copied DVD movie looked and sounded
great in our DVD player.
DVD Cloner 6 from start to finish
produced a high-quality DVD in 29 minutes.
